The children's author David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Best-selling writer for children and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour towards young women.
The firm has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
He has published over four dozen titles altogether, which features a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
